PlateForge — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-01 · version 2026-08-01

This Privacy Policy describes how PlateForge LLC ("PlateForge," "we," "us") collects and uses information when you use theplateforge.com (the "Site").

1. Information We Collect#

Design inputs. The text you enter to create a design — typically a house number and street name — and your configuration choices (template, size, motif, colors). Note that address-like text you enter is used as the content of your design; we treat it as order data, not as a verified statement of where you live.

Order and contact information. Your email address (used to deliver your Files and order confirmations) and order details.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your full card details go directly to Stripe and are never received or stored by us. We receive limited information from Stripe such as payment status and the last four digits of your card. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

Usage information. Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) collected in server logs, and analytics events if analytics tools are deployed, using cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information#

To generate and deliver the Files you purchase; to process payments and calculate applicable sales tax; to provide support and re-deliver Files; to operate, secure, and improve the Site (including debugging generation failures, which may involve reviewing the design inputs associated with a failed order); to send transactional emails about your order; and, only if you opt in, to send occasional product updates.

3. What We Do Not Do#

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your address text for advertising targeting. We do not display third-party advertising on the Site.

4. Sharing#

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf: Stripe (payments), our hosting and infrastructure providers (currently Render and Cloudflare), our email delivery provider, and any analytics providers described above. These providers are bound to use the information only to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Cookies#

We use essential cookies required for the Site and checkout to function, and analytics cookies as described above. Your browser settings can limit cookies; essential cookies are required for purchases.

6. Data Retention#

Order records (including design inputs and delivered Files) are retained to support re-delivery, defect remedies, and our legal and tax obligations. Analytics data is retained per the analytics provider's configured retention period.

7. Your Choices and Rights#

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@theplateforge.com. We will honor requests except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, records of completed transactions). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

8. Children#

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security#

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes#

We may update this Policy; the current version and its effective date will always be posted on the Site.
